Body of missing Highland Home man found in Sardis | News

HIGHLAND HOME, AL (WSFA) - The family of a missing Highland Home man finally has answers regarding his disappearance. Authorities say Cecil Mock's body was found in the Sardis area just before noon on Wednesday.

Mock had been missing from Highland Home since October 19, 2011. Authorities were concerned that the retired state employee's heath was not stable.

Landscapers in the Sardis area found Mock's remains shortly before noon on Wednesday. Those remains are being transported to the Alabama Department of Forensics for positive identification and to determine the cause of death.
