Grandson arrested for murdering 88-year-old grandfather | Crime
CRENSHAW CO., AL (WSFA) - Authorities have arrested and charged the victim's grandson in the gruesome murder of an 88-year-old man in Crenshaw County on March 25.
William Bradley Sexton has been arrested and charged with murder in the March 25 death of his 88-year-old grandfather Pleo Sexton.
Sexton's body was found in his home on County Road 17 in Sardis - approximately 4 miles south of Highland Home. Authorities say Sexton's son went to have lunch with him only to find the home torn apart and his father dead.
"I just barely went inside the door, there was a good bit of blood," said Charlotte Tesmer, District Attorney for Butler, Crenshaw and Lowndes Counties. "And the house has been torn apart as though someone had been looking for something."
Tesmer said it appeared the house had been ransacked, though it wasn't clear if any items had been taken.
